Reporting Introduction

Brightly Assetic offers a number of ways to prepare and present information for use in reporting.

 

These include:

  • In-built reporting

    • The reporting options outlined in the article section Advanced Search Profiles

      • Grouping

      • Pivoting

      • KPI charting

      • Export of results to Excel

      • Map Display

    • The Reporting Module which allows administrator users to build Views of Functional Location, Asset, and Component information

    • The Asset accounting reporting that following accounting guidelines as outlined in the article section Accounting Reporting

 

  • Support for external reporting tools

    • OData endpoint. OData provides a way to tools like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI to report on cloud based applications such as Brightly Assetic.

      • Refer to the article OData Excel and Power BI to learn how to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI to connect to Brightly Assetic for reporting.

      • The Brightly Assetic OData endpoints may also be used for integration. The OData endpoint differs from the Advanced Search API because it does not require a pre-built search profile to define the required search fields. Instead the search fields are defined when executing the OData query.

    • Brightly Assetic API (Application Programming Interface) endpoints for programmers as outlined in the the article section Integration.
